Arkas Line continues to strengthen its fleet and enhance service quality. With the deployment of a second Arkas-owned vessel on the USA Express Service (USX), Arkas Line has doubled its capacity.
Arkas Line has made a significant expansion on the USA route, which offers seamless and reliable service from Türkiye and surrounding regions to the East Coast of the United States. Now, two Arkas vessels are operating on the line: the 2,824 TEU Sine A and the newly added Emma A, also with a capacity of 2,837 TEU, which has been upgraded with a scrubber to make it more environmentally friendly.
With this development, Arkas Line has effectively doubled its capacity on the U.S. line. The USX service operates weekly with seven vessels on the following route: Mersin – Istanbul (Kumport) – Izmit (Evyap) – Gemlik (Gemport) – Izmir (Aliaga) – New York – Norfolk – Savannah – Mersin.
Prioritizing environmental sensitivity in its vessel investments, Arkas Line has equipped Emma A with a scrubber to minimize sulfur emissions. In this way, Arkas Line aligns its fleet renewal strategy with the principles of sustainable maritime transportation.
Arkas Line continues to support trade between Türkiye and the United States by leveraging its growing fleet and strong logistics network, while also connecting ports in the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Africa, and India via the Red Sea to the U.S. market. With this expansion, Arkas Line also aims to contribute to boosting trade across all the regions it serves by offering customers shorter transit times and more competitive solutions.
